Batangas: A New Found Haven for Relaxation and Fun

Located at the southern part of Luzon, surrounded by pristine waters and beaches, lay the province of Batangas. This beautiful province is known for its beaches, diving spots and exotic coffee beans. Yearly, more tourists come to experience the solitude and relaxation that Batangas offers.

Because of the natural curve of the land, waters within this area are usually calm. This suits best for sailing, diving and swimming. In Anilao, Batangas, one can explore remnants of sunken ships, vast lands of corals and a diverse marine life. There are more than thirty diving spots in this area that tourists flocked to. Batangas is also one of the oldest city in Luzon. It was founded in 1851 but only recognized Batangas as a city in 1969. People living in this city are God fearing, easy-going and hospitable. It is noted that Batangas is a historical place where some of the bravest heroes of the country are born.

Another attraction within this area are the churches. One of the famous churches in Batangas is the Taal Church. The majestic size of the church cannot be missed, as well as the fine architecture done on the walls of the church. Another natural attraction of Batangas is the Taal Volcano. Considered as the smallest volcano in the world, this natural wonder has a lake inside the crater of the extinct volcano. It is in this area that hot springs are famous. Further north, in Lipa and Tagaytay City, are where coffee beans are abundant. Nothing compares to the taste of coffee harvested in these places which are well know to be the “Kapeng Barako”.
