Jimmy Fallon Hosted 2011 End-of-the-Year SNL Episode
American comedian, television host, singer, and actor Jimmy Fallon Returned to Saturday Night Live with Genuine Joy and Enthusiasm. He hosted the last show for the year of Saturday Night Live (SNL) with hilarious celebrity impersonations, the comeback of an old Saturday Night Live character, and eventually brought back the humor and wackiness he has been truly known for.
If it was your first time to have seen Jimmy Fallon on screen and special guest starring on SNL, it would make you glad to know that he was actually a regular member of SNL from 1998 to 2004. In fact, during that period, he was charmingly known for usually forgetting his lines and not being able to control his character by laughing out loud in between. Although he decided to leave and pursue his films, music, and his own current late-night show called Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, it was truly heartwarming to see old cast members come back as if nothing ever changed.
According to fans and viewers, what was specifically amazing about the show was how Jimmy was able to reunite with his former co-stars and really brought that Christmas feeling for all of us. In fact, from the moment he entered and introduced what the show had in store for them that night, everyone really felt his genuine happiness and enthusiasm about being able to host once again. He even stated, “This place means so much to me. All I ever wanted my whole life was to be on this show. It is just a dream come true.” Fallon then unleashed his musical side by doing a little guitar solo that made everyone groove a little bit. Jimmy brought back memories by reuniting with an old friend, Rachel Dratch, and introduced us to an old-time SNL skit about a couple named Sully and Denise. This time, Jimmy appeared with Dratch but now we got to see them with five children.
What was probably the most entertaining and enormously loved part of SNL was Jimmy Fallon impersonating a variety of celebrities such as Sting, Barry Gibb, Kermit the Frog, Jerry Seinfeld, Russell Brand and Justin Bieber. Most of all, a surprising performance was impersonating himself! His last performance was by dressing up as a lovable bumblebee and skating on ice with old and new friends. With an all-out attitude and really, again, an honestly in-the-mood personality, it was really non-stop laughter and heartfelt emotions to end a beautiful year of Saturday Night Live (SNL). Other special guests were Michael Buble and Tina Fey, among others, respectively.
