Puerto Galera Beaches and Accommodations
After Boracay, the most sought island getaway for Filipinos nowadays is Puerto Galera. Due to its close proximity to Metro Manila (130 kilometers south), there is no wonder it is preferred by many. Tourists can easily go to the island by taking a bus and a ferry that would take them about 4 hours in total travel time. This reduces the problems with getting expensive air flight fares and not to mention, waiting for a flight schedule to open. Also, the place is in no different than that of Boracay. Puerto Galera has a lot of things to offer as well and great accommodations that welcome the guests in all parts of the world.
One of the tourist attractions in Puerto Galera is the long list of beaches available, each serving different flavors of environment from which you can choose from. The Sabang Beach for example, is ideal for those who wants to party and spend their nights bar hopping and dancing to the loud music. Small La Laguna Beach is the opposite of the Sabang Beach. Cottages are most likely the best offer that the place could give you that is why the accommodation is not as pricey as that of Boracay’s. You can find a room or a hut depending on your preference prices that ranges from 300php to 10,000php. But no matter what type of accommodation you choose, safety and security must always be the first priority.
The activities that can be done in Puerto Galera is the same as that of Boracay – swimming, snorkeling, diving, partying at the bars, etc. But what makes Puerto Galera different is that you can also have an adventure in the forests and marvel at the water falls. The coral reefs in the place is also a spectacular scene that should not be missed.
