The Kube 2 Player – World’s Smallest MP3 Player

The Kube 2 Player, the smallest player ever created, seems to be entering competitively into the music player scene. This MP3 player has been created by Bluetree Electronics, a technology company based in Singapore. What makes it different from the previous Kube Player (version 1) is that this is actually smaller and is considering itself to be the smallest music player ever made.

This player’s dimensions are one inch on all the sides with a capacity of about 8,000 songs (a good 512 MB to 32 GB). If you’re opting for a smaller playlist, then the 4GB storage is for you as it can carry around 1,000 songs. Based on its dimensions, it’s not exactly the thinnest or slimmest as compared to other brands and their products but it is definitely the tiniest. Another factor that makes it different from the first Kube MP3 player is that while the first one was made out of plastic, this second version has been created out of aluminum. This MP3 player is actually very similar to the appearance of a dice – small enough for you to want to play with and just right to want to carry around. The feature that people are most excited about is its touch screen-like feature wherein, as they explain, “A quick swipe will allow the user to switch to the previous or next track. Placing a finger at the top or bottom of the Kube 2 will raise or lower the volume, respectively.” This player can go on and on for roughly five to six hours with its lithium-polymer made battery. Through the use of a USB, your Kube 2 player can be charged in just one hour. At $35 dollars, the Kube 2 Player is music at its lightest. Interestingly, if you wish for energy or color, an additional $4 will bring you a happier and more colorful feel through removable stickers that can personalize and beautify your very own player. Currently, the Kube 2 Player can only be purchased in Singapore but will be available worldwide in January 2012.

We’re all fans of different types of music. From rock, jazz, the blues to classic, indie, and pop… anything that sounds good to our ears keeps us coming back for more. The famous iPod by Steve Jobs, for example, has given us the opportunity to listen to our music and literally get to carry it wherever we go. Instead of purchasing all the music CD’s and individually insert them into radio players, compiling all the sounds and putting them in just one player is simply the most convenient of them all and for this, the Kube 2 Player is the perfect gadget for it.
